Portraits & Memory Films That Feel Real
Stillness Meets Motion
I work across portraits, youth sports, and family photography with the same intent — to document moments as they unfold.
Whether it’s a game, a portrait session, or time with family, the goal is always the same, to stay present, observe carefully, and create images and films that feel honest and unforced.
Some moments ask for stillness while others demand motion — effort, momentum, and proof of what happened.
My work lives in that space between. Knowing when to observe quietly, and when to follow the action, so the story feels complete — not staged, not rushed, and not reduced to a single frame.

Who this is for
Families who want something real, not overproduced. The opportunity to remember special moments in two mediums.
Seniors who want to be themselves, not perform.
Athletes and non-athletes — anyone whose story matters in motion or stillness.
How It Works
1. We talk first.
We start with a straightforward conversation about who this is for, what matters most to you, and what you want to remember from this time.
2. I work with living stories.
That means offering light direction when it’s helpful, then stepping back to observe. The focus is on real interaction and honest moments — not poses, performances, or manufactured scenes.
3. You receive a finished body of work.
You’ll receive a carefully edited set of photographs — and, if chosen, a short memory film — created to feel cohesive, timeless, and true to who you are. The memory film where possible will be recorded during live events with real meaning.
Whanau/Family
Family portraits are about capturing real moments, not perfect ones.
The way your family interacts, the little looks, the laughter, the connection you don’t always notice day to day. My goal is to create honest images (and optional short films) that feel natural and true — something you’ll be glad you took the time to preserve.

Living Stories
Ngā Kōrero Ora
This is the foundation of my work.
A Living Stories session is built around presence, observation, and time. It’s a way of working that prioritizes who someone is in this moment.
The Senior Memory Experience
(A Living Stories session, most often chosen during senior year)
While Living Stories can apply to families and youth sports, it’s most often experienced during senior year.
This is where stillness and motion come together: quiet portrait moments alongside real movement, real effort, and real evidence of what this season looked like.
For student-athletes, this often includes short-form film alongside still images — not highlights for show, but visual proof of movement, effort, and presence that photographs alone can’t always hold.

Special Events
If my approach feels right, we’ll probably work well together. I photograph seniors and families and also take on engagement sessions and small, intimate weddings where a natural hybrid photo-and-video style really shines. If it matters to you, I’m always happy to talk it through.
